My experience tells me laughing leads to doing the dirty, dirty (what…I’m just sayin’)…and since it’s Valentine’s Day Weekend, everyone should be happy that there is some really good comedy going on in L.A. Here’s the quick and…..dirty.

Sketches, songs, stories from some comedy duos and couples. Natasha Leggero and Duncan Trussell will be there. If your chick isn’t hot, you can check out Natasha. She’s pretty hot. She may cut your balls off though (and by “She” I mean your girlfriend and Natasha).

Sunday – 2/15
Alonzo Bodden/Ice House – Pasadena/7pm and 9pm/$15
He’s hilarious. And black…so that’s cool.

The GREAT Dave Attell is in L.A. this week. Normally a New York guy…Attell gets out to L.A. a few times a year to do stand-up comedy in the our clubs. You can catch him:

Tuesday – “Life of the Party with Jay Davis” at 10pm at the Laugh Factory

Wednesday – “Comedy Juice” at 10pm at the Hollywood Improv

Thursday – 10pm at Hollywood Improv

Friday – 8pm at Hollywood Improv

Saturday – 10pm at Hollywood Improv

That means he MAY be at the Laugh Factory at 8pm on Saturday…but I will have to check on that. If you have never seen Attell…he is arguably the best club comedian in the country. Meaning…if you are going to experience live comedy at a club…and you have one comedian to go watch…it’s Dave Attell. Two of my favorite comedians…Artie Lange and Greg Fitzsimmons both said the same thing last year on the Howard Stern Show…and I have to agree. He’s the man. Make the calls…book the tickets…and go see Attell this weekend.

This line-up is sick for $7. Dave Attell. Really? And get ready for Aziz Ansari…he kills. Hit up Andrew for the guest list discount. You still have to get there early though because this one of those deals where you are not guaranteed a seat even though you are on the list. This happens when outside folks put on the show. The guys are Comedy Juice put on great shows…but you get there early.

Highlights (and a couple of lowlights) from the last couple of shows I’ve seen at the Improv:

I saw Dave Attell a few weeks ago. Just an amazing comedian…like we all know. He successfully pulled of a Virginia Tech joke like only Dave can. Big shout out to Dee for setting me up at this show. Also want to note that Gillearn had a great set. But Dov Davidoff clearly came on stage RIPPED. Dov has an odd style…but it really screwed up his set. In general, I have been seeing a lot comedians coming to the stage high or drunk. It needs to stop. These guys are unable to perform this way. They may think it makes them better…but it screws them up…from Sarah Silverman to Dov Davidov…it just doesn’t work.

Saw the Sklar Bros. last week headline at the Improv…so impressive. The chemistry they have on stage is amazing. The Jew stuff is hilarious! Also, Orny Adams was excellent. However, an abrassive comedian from Pittsburgh needed some help (can’t recall his name…if the Improv did a line-up card…maybe I would…hint…hint!). His material was decent…but he didn’t know how to handle the crowd…and he kept walking away from the mic.

I need to call out Sadihki Fuller again…he’s a terrible and inconsiderate host. He continues to mess up other comedians names…which is shit! It’s SHIT! If you’re going to be the host…get it right…or go home. I don’t think he deserves to host there anymore. That’s the first time I’ve ever spoken those words about a comedian…but it’s a joke (no pun intended).
