Remedial High by Jason Gillearn

by Brendon Mulvihill on July 22, 2009 in Stand-Up

It’s safe to say Jason Gillearn has the respect of every comedian in the city of Los Angeles. And he is without question the most consistent performer I know. He kills every time I see him. He’s not only a funny dude, but a good guy. You can tell he’s not caught up in the celebrity part of being a comedian. He’s a teacher, he has a family…and he happens to be funnier than hell. That’s it. Period.

Looks like Gillearn is taking his comedic skills away from the mic a bit and pitching a new animated series called “Remedial High”. It’s straight from his experience has a teacher of juvenile offender kids. That’s endless material as far as I’m concerned. The show is perfect for Spike or maybe G4 or something. It’s politically incorrect and it’s F’in great. I’m so tired of the crap on TV. I’m watching “So You Think You Can Dance” for CHRISSAKES! I need more Gillearn-created content in my life. Watch it a few times…it get’s funnier every time.

Jesus Christ this is the funniest piece of animation I’ve seen in a long time.

This kills!! Hope it gets airtime. Better than 90% of the garbage on cable. Kudos Giles!
